Of course, let me briefly tell our story. I joined your site in October 2011. After talking to a few people, I lost hope and froze my membership. Then at the beginning of November, I activated it again. Around that time, a French man from your members messaged me. He said he was looking for a friend. Honestly, I didn’t take it very seriously, because he was French, he spoke Turkish, and he was living in Turkey, looking for a Turkish girl. That felt a bit unrealistic to me. Still, after exchanging a few messages, I decided to meet him, though I was thinking he could only ever be a friend.

He was a modest teacher, all alone in this big country, quietly living his life. His Turkish was very weak, so we spoke in English. Luckily, my foreign language skills were good, so that helped. We decided to meet on November 8. We visited the aquarium together, and he had baked something sweet and brought it for me :)) That’s how he won my heart. He was truly romantic and kind. He wasn’t like some of the people I’d met through the site before, unfortunately I had come across some unpleasant experiences. Sadly, everything has its good and bad sides. But while he was a true European gentleman, he was also protective and brave in a very eastern way. That day we started off as friends, but I wanted to get married and I was looking for someone serious.

When I told him that, he was very happy, because he also wanted to marry a Muslim woman. He wanted a family and dreamed of having Muslim children. Yes, that surprised me too, but he shared the same faith as I did, and as you know, that is a very sensitive topic for Turkish families. My family might not have wanted to give me to him, but how could they possibly let a son in law like that slip away :)) From the very first moment, his politeness warmed my heart, and the more I saw how romantic and thoughtful he was, the more I grew to like him.

Before we even realized it, we had become a couple :)) We have so much in common, and even in our differences, understanding always comes first, so we’re always happy. God willing, we’re moving toward marriage. We also wish all our friends that they find the right person.
