Rules of Conduct
In everyday life, smiling and showing courtesy come naturally. Unfortunately, some users tend to overlook basic manners in the anonymous environment of the internet. Searching for a serious relationship is a very personal matter. That’s why eÇift has summarized the most important rules of conduct to keep in mind when looking for a serious relationship.
1. Profile photo
You can upload up to 12 photos to your profile.
What to consider when choosing photos:
Your photo should accurately represent you and clearly show your face.
Nude or semi-nude photos, pornographic symbols, and images containing physical or sexual violence are strictly prohibited from being uploaded to member profiles. Likewise, racist, degrading, insulting, or morally inappropriate images are not permitted. Photos containing advertisements or logos are also not allowed.
Accept moderation decisions: If a photo is rejected, please respect the decision of the moderators or administrators. Repeatedly uploading the same rejected photo may be considered disrespectful of the rules and may result in measures such as temporary or permanent suspension of your profile.
2. How you present yourself: Show who you really are
The information you provide in your profile and the messages you send should not create expectations that you cannot meet in a face-to-face encounter. Profiles that do not match the member’s real identity or are found to be misleading may be cancelled without prior notice.
3. Messaging style: My messages reflect who I am
Especially when looking for a serious relationship, your personal messaging style plays an important role. Always consider the impression your words may create. The way you write says a lot about your personality.
Please pay attention to the following points:
• Take enough time when writing messages so your words accurately reflect your intentions.
• Do not send mass messages.
• Pay attention to spelling and the use of upper and lower case letters. Avoid unnecessary emoticons.
• Messages containing slang or profanity are strictly prohibited.
4. The internet is often perceived as an anonymous space
However, never forget that there is a real person with real feelings on the other side. Physical distance is not an excuse for hurting, offending, or playing with the emotions of other members, nor for being rude or dismissive. Avoid arguments and treat others the way you would like to be treated yourself.
5. Avoid misunderstandings: Be careful with jokes and humor
Express your thoughts and comments in a way that minimizes the risk of being misunderstood. Remember that the other person cannot see your facial expressions or body language, which often help prevent misunderstandings in face-to-face conversations.
6. Rules regarding your personal information
Don’t rush. When conversations develop positively, many members tend to share personal information at an early stage.
Ask yourself this question: If the person you’re messaging were sitting across from you, would you be this open?
7. Declining politely
If you are not interested in a member or do not wish to get to know them, please decline politely and respectfully. A short message is sufficient and prevents the other person from waiting unnecessarily for days.
8. Receiving a rejection
Likewise, if another member does not wish to continue communicating with you, respect their decision. Do not harass them by repeatedly sending messages.
9. Privacy rules
Members are obligated to respect the confidentiality of messages they receive. Messages may only be shared with third parties if the sender has given explicit consent. Verbal attacks on other members, documenting or sharing details of their private lives, or passing such information on to third parties is strictly prohibited. Information about a member may only be shared with others if that member has given clear and explicit permission.
10. Making sexual advances in real life, online, via webcam, phone, or similar channels is strictly prohibited.
11. Inappropriate and immoral publications and content
Discriminatory, racist, or sexist messages, as well as any content involving violence, radical political views, profanity, or slang, are strictly prohibited. Content that insults, defames, threatens, or humiliates individuals, groups, or religious beliefs is also strictly forbidden.
12. Reporting inappropriate profiles
eÇift protects you from fraud, spam, and harassment through member profiles that are individually reviewed by site administrators and supported by automated filtering systems. Nevertheless, there may be cases where inappropriate content is not immediately detected. By reporting suspicious members who violate our rules of conduct or terms of use, you help us maintain eÇift’s quality standards. However, misuse of the “Report this member” function will result in immediate cancellation of the reporting member’s account.
Violation of usage rules and legal action
All content created by members may be reviewed when necessary.
In the event of any actions that violate the rules of conduct or terms of use, the member will be warned. If deemed necessary, site management may cancel the member’s account, without prejudice to the right to pursue legal action.
